Today in the life of...

Sun Oct 10, 2004, 5:57 PM
Well, today was quite a busy day. This morning I went to church service and then returned to find my room cluttered with my grandmother and father's living room furinture. Our tenant Pat and his nephew were busy laying down wood flooring in our dinning room. I wish all of you could see the beauty of a real wood floor, it's so spectacular.

Anyhow, my step-brother Taylor and his mom were outside with my grandma and father. They were laying down the foundation for our new shed that my grandmother ordered from Sears about two weeks ago. I was still in my church clothes so I decided to head back inside to change.

After swimming through a sea of chairs, a computer desk, and cables, I was finally able to change my clothing and get ready to leave once again. I was happy. We were finally going to put in a new fuel gauge for my '73 VW.

Here's a picture for you all to enjoy (I hope that the coding works ~lol~).

The fuel gauge that came with the car didn't work, which was quite a scary thing when you have to drive everyday. So to fix the problem, my father ordered me a new fuel gauge, sender (so the gauge knows how much gas is in my tank), and a "vibrator" (go ahead and laugh). I don't even know what the vibrator does, but the guy I spoke to at Bug City Auto Parts said that they are the next thing to go after the fuel gauge stops working.

We had a busy afternoon. We removed the speedometer from the dash of the car and unscrewed the original fuel gauge. It was a simple process and I really enjoyed watching my friend Wayde show me how to do it. Without his help, I don't think that the car would be where she is at now. I really appreciate everything that he has done to help me. Thanks.
